CATCHER Project: CascataChuva is among the finalists of the Innovation Radar Prize 2024
Startup CascataChuva, member of the CATCHER project consortium, has been nominated for the "Sustainability Tech" category in the Innovation Radar Prize. After the public voting to help select the finalists at the end of September, it was recently announced that CascataChuva is among the finalists and the event for the Prize will happen on November 11th in Lisbon.
The CATCHER project, coordinated by Lusófona University, focuses on developing innovative technology to exploit atmospheric humidity for direct conversion into electricity. This breakthrough aims to make efficient use of a new sustainable energy source, strengthening the EU's leadership in renewable energy.
Since 2015, the European Commission has awarded the annual Innovation Radar Prize to exceptional EU-funded innovators, highlighting high-potential innovations that are transitioning from the lab to the marketplace. Nominees are selected based on insights from the Innovation Radar, which identifies innovators with strong market potential.
This year, the 10th edition of the Innovation Radar Prize will be celebrated in Lisbon alongside the Europas 100 Hottest Startups Awards. During the event, 12 startups, including CascataChuva, will pitch their innovations, competing across 3 categories. The event will feature panels and keynotes from leading experts in the EU startup ecosystem. Additionally, innovators competing for the Innovation Radar Prize will also be eligible for The Europas 100.
