CascataChuva, our partner in the CATCHER project, has been certified by the European Innovation Council (EIC) through the EIC Tech to Market Venture Building Programme, representing our project. This recognition highlights the project's commitment to transforming pioneer research into viable business ventures.
The EIC Tech to Market Programme (T2M) offers a wide array of activities designed to help EIC beneficiaries bridge the gap between research and market application, making them more capable and ready to take the leap towards commercialization. Furthermore, it equips deep-tech researchers from EIC Pathfinder and EIC Transition projects with essential entrepreneurial skills to turn their innovations into viable businesses. It includes structured training such as the EIC Innovation Discovery Training, which introduces entrepreneurial fundamentals, and the EIC Bootcamp, a four-day workshop covering key startup components. The EIC Pioneer Programme offers 4-5 months of coaching on IP, industrialization, and finance, while the EIC Business Idea Validation Bootcamp and EIC Business Validation Programme focus on refining value propositions, business models, and product-market fit through coaching, masterclasses, and expert feedback.
The certification of CascataChuva within this programme reinforces the impact of the CATCHER project, which is coordinated by Lusófona University. CATCHER is pioneering an innovative technology that harnesses atmospheric humidity and directly converts it into electricity, offering a new sustainable energy source.
